Archeology days in Montauban

The European Archeology Days take place from June 14 to 16. On the program for this weekend:

  • Friday June 14, at 6:30 p.m. (Old college) : presentation of the results of the archaeological excavation of the Place Nationale, conference led by Laurent Grimbert, head of the operation (Inrap).
  • Saturday June 15, at 2:30 p.m. (meeting at the Old College): return to the archaeological excavation of the Place Nationale, guided tour led by Laurent Grimbert and a guide-lecturer from the CIAP; from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Old College): “Word of objects”, flash tours of the CIAP around objects from the excavations of the Place Nationale, by a guide-lecturer from the CIAP.
  • Sunday June 16, at 10:30 a.m. (place Pénélope) : archaeological walk, “A city under our feet”, guided tour led by Laurent Grimbert and a guide-lecturer from the CIAP and at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. (Ingres Bourdelle museum) : the medieval remains of the MIB, guided tour led by a CIAP guide-lecturer.

From June 14 to 16. Free.

On Saturday June 15, 2024, the Francas de Montech participate in the global event On The Moon Again and offer a moon observation evening on the stationery site in Montech, in collaboration with the municipality. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Montech game library and youth information point will offer special discovery games around space, astronomy, the moon… From 9 p.m., the Francas will host games on the moon and install tools observation (astronomical telescope, telescope, etc.)

An exhibition at the Carmelite cloister

The plastic arts department of the Grand Montauban Artistic Teaching Center offers to discover the work of the students, through an exhibition entitled “Joy”, in the premises of the establishment and at the Carmes cloister. The opportunity to appreciate the quality of all the practices carried out within the visual arts department and to promote the completed projects.

Free entry visible from June 8 to 29, in the premises of the establishment and at the Carmes cloister in Montauban.

Musical cycling in Verdun-sur-Garonne

For the 7th edition of the Vélo musical in Verdun-sur-Garonne, a 33 km bike ride in the countryside around the town with musical stops is on the program. Diatonic accordions, chromatic accordions, voices, cello will punctuate this bike ride.

Sunday June 16. Full price: €12. From 9:30 a.m. Meet at Allée des Remparts in Verdun-sur-Garonne.

The Noé clerc trio group renews the usual form of the jazz trio, its music is plural and heirs to different influences, from traditional melodies from Armenia and the Black Sea, to melodies drawing from the impressionist composers of the 20th century.
