This summer, Seine-et-Marne takes you to its own wonderland. From June 28 to July 14, the Department is organizing three discovery weekends as part of its “Emmenez-moi” festival. For his 6e edition, the event takes its visitors to the heart of the historical heritage of 21 sites thanks to a rich artistic and cultural program. Follow the leader !

An unusual festival open to all

Mr Aznavour would undoubtedly have appreciated this festival created in 2018 by the Department of Seine-et-Marne. Completely free, the event allows you to understand the historical heritage of this pretty corner of Île-de-France in a different way. Come from June 28 to July 14 to enjoy experiences accessible to all.

Original, immersive and participatory, the “Emmenez-moi” operation organizes more than 200 meetings in the heart of 21 exceptional places including 5 new sites: the Château Saint-Ange de Villecerf, the village of Guérard, Bray-sur-Seine , the villages of Gâtinais (Burcy, Fromont and Rumont) and the town of Chelles. Guest of honor of the festival, the city is for the occasion the star of an episode ofGo crazy! by Lorànt Deutsch.

In this Olympic year, you will find numerous events combining sport and culture and a wide range of activities adapted to people with disabilities: inclusive shows involving music, voice and sign language, blind football workshop, conferences in the presence of Paralympic athletes …

Meet on Friday June 28 at Blandy Castle for the start of the festivities. The new immersive show “Lumieres de Blandy” will mark the kick-off. In the sumptuous interior courtyard of the medieval castle, you will relive its epic history, highlighted by the History of France.

Among the different places which will play the game this first weekend, let us mention the village and the castle of Saint Ange in Villecerf which will exceptionally open its park to visitors. On the program: introduction to the circus, break dancing, exhibition of old-fashioned bicycles, guided tour of the castle’s underground passages, concerts, demonstrations by local artisans and fireworks show to end the day in style.

On Sunday, the Commanderie des Templiers in Coulommiers also promises many fun activities: a play, workshops to discover the flora of the medieval garden and the creation of a herbarium, circus and acrobatics, one-man show… Quite a program!

On Saturday, the town of Chelles will take you on a journey through time in Villa Max: free tour of the garden, discussion with the Archaeological and Historical Society of Chelles on the subject of resort architecture in Île-de-France. -France in the 19th centurye century and immersive “Cluedo” type game with the mission to go back to 1936 to discover who killed Mademoiselle de Villedieu.

On Saturday, Guérard will also put on his festive outfit with a host of activities on the town hall square: vine exhibition, popular songs, musical and clown encounters and other surprises. Also head to Domaine Bois Brillant – Maison de la vigne for a festive afternoon including circus, interactive workshops around wool, concerts, visit to the wine estate, tasting in the cellar and show.

On Sunday, different sites in Château-Landon including the hamlet of Gautiers and the Saint-Séverin abbey will be revealed in a different way to the curious: escape game, climbing wall, dancing on the facade, concert of saxophones, double bass and drums…

Saturday and Sunday will also allow you to visit two superb castles in a different way. That of the Three Queens in Montceaux-lès-Meaux will give the opportunity to try original pastimes: escape trail, disabled sports, old games, visits to the park in a carriage, stone-cutting workshop, circus, guided tour by the owners, Eastern European music concert with Gypsy and Romanian dance lessons.

Jossigny Castle will open its doors as part of immersive tours “The Baron’s Castle Life”, activities on daily life at the castle and “Extraordinary Walks” tour-shows in the park.

On this last weekend of the festival and national holiday, the menu still promises lovely moments with your tribe.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Bourdelle Garden Museum in Égreville will put on a show with an immersive theatrical game, an exhibition around the masterpiece Héraklès Archer, a sensory and inclusive visit, a bronze casting demonstration, a modeling workshop and a participatory concert, a bilingual show in French Sign Language (LSF).

Finally, La Ferté-sous-Jouarre – Espace des deux rivières invites you to workshops and exhibitions on sport in Seine-et-Marne and several shows (circus and aerial dance, contemporary dance, hip-hop, contortionist and clown), as well as a theatrical and humorous conference followed by an exchange with handball players. A “Cosmopolitan Ball”, just before the fireworks organized by the municipality, will put an end to this magnificent event!
