Along with the famous chocolatine, it is THE star pastry of our breakfasts. The Union of Artisans Boulangers Pâtissiers de Haute-Garonne (UABP 31) organized this Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Plaisance-du-Touch, near Toulouse, the competition for the best croissant in the department. Here are the bakeries that have been crowned.
Who comes in first place
No less than 22 brands tried to win the trophy. A jury made up of 16 food professionals was tasked with deciding between them.
At the very top of the podium, we find a bakery which has already stood out in departmental competitions for its chocolate éclairs and its crown of kings. In 2022, its croissants had even already been crowned!
The Fred L'Artisan bakery, located in Ramonville-Saint-Agnetherefore repeated the feat in 2024. Stéphane Armengaud won the first title!
The rest of the list
In second place, we find another address also already well titled: Maison Arnoult in L’Unionrepresented by Annie Arnoult.
And in third place, Maison Blanchard in Blagnacrepresented by Philippe Blanchard, already known, in particular, for his Limoux brioche.
