Lac de Foix, organized on the occasion of the national day against school bullying, brought together 450 students and chaperones from the Jean Durroux vocational high school this Thursday, November 7, who took to the streets of Ferrières sur Ariège and the city center of Foix. A colorful race, which was an opportunity to offer moments of discussion and testimonies to raise awareness of school bullying, a reality with sometimes tragic consequences.

Jean-Philippe Dargent, secretary general of the Ariège prefecture, was present this afternoon alongside local elected officials at the Color Run in Foix

“In , each year, a million children and adolescents experience harassment at school,” recalls the Ariège prefecture. Indeed, in November 2023, a vast survey was carried out to assess the reality of school bullying. In total, 7.5 million students, from CE2 to final year, spread across 38,000 schools, were invited to complete a self-assessment questionnaire. According to the results of the survey, 5.1% of students say they are victims of harassment, or almost 2 students per class.
