The under-11s, girls and boys, of BOUC Volley, are participating this weekend in the French volleyball cup. Among them, Antoine Vignault is a young Crépicordien full of ambition.
The Beauvais Oise University Club (BOUC) volleyball is having a fabulous season. The seniors have moved up to Elite, while the under-11s will compete in the French Cup from June 14 to 16.
For this, the boys’ (Antoine, Léandre and Baptiste) and girls’ (Lila, Énola and Chloé) teams won the departmental and regional championships (Picardie). The event will take place in Harnes (Pas-de-Calais) for the boys and Cambrai (North) for the girls, in front of a few hundred spectators.
A beautiful story of friendship
They will leave this Thursday with their coach Franck Estève, also president of BOUC volleyball, extremely proud of his protégés. Especially since two of the players, a boy and a girl, are his children.
“ Everyone has progressed in the background and individually. They have become a group of friends and the stay will give them memories that they will keep for life. Then as a dad I couldn’t dream of better I am very proud to see them at this level. »
rejoices Franck Estève
This is also what Antoine Vignault’s mother underlines: “ His two teammates became his best friends. »
Take maximum pleasure
Their coach is not surprised to see them get this far. Last year, the boys had already qualified and finished 12th out of 24. While the girls were one victory away from participating in the French Cup.
“ We were calm for the boys especially since with Antoine the team was strengthened. And with the girls we knew it would be a battle but they worked well and had strong moments that made them grow. »
Franck Estève
This will therefore be the first time that both teams will participate in the French Cup. They will leave with a clear objective: “ Do the best you can while having fun. It is the most important. We do not set a numerical objective. »
Antoine dreams of playing in the French volleyball team
An adventure that Antoine Vignault is impatiently awaiting. The young Crépicordien started volleyball three years ago at Volley Loisirs in Crèvecœur-le-Grand.
After his first two seasons he joined BOUC volleyball with the ambition to progress. It seems done. A true competitor, Antoine always plays to win, and already dreams big.
“ His dream is to play, one day, as a passer or libero in the French team. », Explains his mother.
You can watch the finals live on the French volleyball federation’s Facebook. It will also be possible to follow the adventures of the young volleyball players on the “CDF M11M 2024” Facebook page.
