Five years later, the tree festival returns to Lot-et-Garonne, on November 24 at the Barolle agroecological estate, in Montesquieu.
It had been five years since the gathering last took place. The tree festival will celebrate its return on November 24 at the Barolle agroecological estate, in Montesquieu. Sixty producers are expected for the occasion. 6,500 trees and 111 old varieties will be available for sale. The estate will also offer its apples and other fruits for tasting, as well as juice and compotes. Wood craftsmen will come and show their know-how. We will find the professions of blacksmithing, pruning or wood turning. They will offer their creations for sale to interested passers-by.
A unique place
For this great return, the choice of location was decisive. The estate is home to the Aquitaine regional plant conservatory. It is home to many more or less ancient species of trees. The objective is to conserve species. The flora extends over 19 hectares, there are 2,000 different varieties in 17 fruit species. Entrance is free. Catering will be offered to visitors. Four menus, including a vegan one, will be on the menu accompanied by brewers and winemakers from the region.
