The magic of Christmas will enliven the streets of , during the 30th edition of the Lights scheduled from November 30, 2024 to January 5, 2025. It was the people of Laval who voted for this theme.

After love in 2023, the magic of Christmas this year. Laval town hall unveiled, Wednesday, November 6, the Enlightenment theme chosen by Laval residents during a vote. They will take place from November 30 to January 5.

A Harry Potter atmosphere

A 30th anniversary edition in red, gold and green tones, announces Bruno Bertier, the first deputy mayor in charge of Lights.“”We are going to highlight Mayenne again this year with a gingerbread house, which will float on the river. There will also be a new and exceptional show on the Châteauneuf and a large tree on the Place du 11 Novembre, opposite the town hall to give a traditional feel to this Christmas. I'm also thinking of old Laval, we're forgetting the disco balls this year, it will be the spirit of tales, with a bit of a Harry Potter atmosphere, tinged with witchcraft.”

The Lights, a comforting and popular event

Christmas is a time when we get together as a family and, while our society is not doing very well, we are going to put a little sparkle in the eyes of Laval residents,” rejoices the chosen one. “It's free, for the most part, full of people who can't go on vacation, people who are more deprived… Everyone will have access to these five weeks. We're going to dream! The lights will remind some of their childhood and for the little ones, they will bathe them in imagination.”
