After the inauguration of the Quai des services in Boussac (Creuse), a more complete visit to the premises is required, starting with the media library!

During the inauguration of the Quai des services in Boussac (Creuse), the media library, which occupies the entire first floor of the building, surprised visitors with its clarity and grandeur. Its south and west facing windows, its light paintings and furniture, its video games corner make it a very pleasant and cozy place. Everything is very functional.

A place that provides service(s) (10/29/2024)

There we find Carine Beaufort, known to all members since she already worked in the library at the Maison des associations. She is accompanied by Émilie Loiseau who was replacing the early childhood relay facilitator for a period of two years and who, after a few internships, joined the Boussaquine media library.

From 5,000 to 10,000 works

Previously, the library had 5,000 books. Now there are 10,000 new books offered to readers, accompanied by 800 DVDs and children's CDs. A new feature even allows access to 40,000 documents! By registering at the Boussac media library, you can also use the intercommunal media library of Chambon-sur-Voueize and the three municipal libraries of the Budelière, Évaux-les-Bains and Lépaud network, this being the same for these five places.

In addition, from the media library portal, all users have access to all the collections of intercommunal and municipal media libraries.

More and more readers

Since the opening, the number of readers has been increasing, with old readers still present. Membership is €10 for an adult at the Creuse Confluence com-com and €15 for someone outside the com-com. It is free for children, schools and communities.

Remember that the first Boussaquin library was created in 1982; it had undergone a move in 2011 and an expansion in 2013.

The Boussac media library is open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
