As the end of the year approaches, it's time to with for the departmental fire and rescue service of Seine-et-Marne (Sdis77). And he draws a sad observation. Since January 2024, the firefighters Seine-et-Marnais were victims of 75 attacks (there were 123 in 2023). Insults, stones, blows… The firefighters were even the target of delinquents who had thrown a washing machine from a floor, fortunately without causing any injuries.
“We firmly condemn all acts which hinder the action of our firefighters,” declares Isoline Garreau, president of the board of directors of Sdis77. Aggression, even verbal, is not tolerable for those who help people on a daily basis. We systematically file complaints in an anonymized manner and we carry civil party in the event of a trial. »
