French Cup. We know where FC Saint-Philbert La Réorthe La Jaudonnière will play for its 7th round

As the stadium of FC Saint-Philbert La Réorthe La Jaudonnière does not meet “the required criteria” for a seventh round of the French Cup, FC PRJ had to find another venue. Bruno Guesdon's men will face SA Mérignacais, Saturday November 16 (4 p.m.), at the Claude Bétard stadium in La Châtaigneraie, 20 kilometers from their usual venue.

Since the start of its adventure in the Coupe de France, FC Saint-Philbert La Réorthe La Jaudonnière played at home. For the seventh round, scheduled for Saturday November 16 (at 4 p.m.) against SA Mérignacais, the Jaudoins will have to evolve outside their bases. In fact, their stage does not correspond “to the required criteria, such as safety standards” for this level of competition, specifies one of the two presidents Emeric Peraud.

Several options were possible

The FC PRJ therefore had to find out about a better-sized enclosure. “There were several options, like Luçon, Pouzauges or La Châtaigneraie,” points out Emeric Peraud. The club office voted in favor of the Claude Bétard stadium in La Châtaigneraie, located 20 kilometers from the usual venue. “We will have a capacity of 2,000 people for our supporters”, specifies the co-president.
