While the circulation was particularly dense during this time slot, the gendarmes noted numerous infractions, including five speeding greater than 40 or 50 km/h compared to the authorized 130 km/h. One of these drivers was also driving despite a suspended driving license, and under the influence of narcotics.
Speed record
That day, the record speed was established by the driver of a sports Mercedes: it was timed at 215 km/h (for a speedometer set at 204 km/h). His license was immediately retained and the sedan was placed impounded.
During the four hours of the road check, the soldiers carried out 43 verbalizations (two motorists had notably consumed cannabis) and 9 license withdrawals.
