Two brothers tried for fatal chair shots during family reunion

The family reunion went terribly wrong. One person died and two brothers were arrested. They will be presented in court from this Wednesday, reports Republican East. The facts date back to June 2018 and took place in an apartment in Verdun (Meuse). A 51-year-old woman, living with her 55-year-old partner, welcomed her two nephews, thirty-somethings living in Belgium. But an insult towards his sister, the mother of the two brothers, would have ignited the powder, triggering a fight.

Chair hits to the head

The companion then took violent blows, including chairs to the head. He died the next day as a result of his injuries. The two brothers fled, in vain. Arrested a few days later, they were accused of violence committed in a meeting leading to death without intention of causing it.

The two individuals will be judged by the Meuse departmental criminal court from tomorrow, without the presence of their aunt, who died in 2021, our colleagues specify. They face fifteen years in prison.
