Last Thursday, October 31, at the Garrigou room, Marie-Caroline Bec Lalisse brought together the members of the association “La chevée de l'Ouest Aveyron” to take stock of the past year.

This young association, affiliated with the French equestrian federation, organized the first equestrian endurance race departing from Villeneuve on May 5 on the paths of the causse. 72 volunteers were mobilized, for 93 participants. Marie-Caroline did not fail to warmly thank all those people who contributed to the success of this day, among them 28 marshals, 12 FFE officials.

Beforehand, the association had consulted and warned local residents that the sun was out. At the fair, 6 exhibitors allowed participants or visitors to find certain equipment necessary for horse riding. The financial results allow us to calmly consider the future even if such an event requires aid obtained from communities and private individuals. The latter were warmly thanked.

The success of this first competition invites the organizers to prepare for the 2025 edition. It will take place on Saturday May 4, the choice being to keep this event on the first weekend of May, even if the date also depends on the other competitions.

The moral and financial reports being adopted, the office was renewed with a change in treasury. A moment of conviviality closed this evening. It is possible to join this association, contact: 06 79 54 05 44 or by email [email protected]

Office: Marie-Caroline Bec Lalisse, president; Pauline Moreno, vice-president; Charlotte Mellinger, secretary; Fany Fabre, treasurer.
