Customers have deserted these supermarkets. It must be said that the empty shelves have something to do with it. HAS Trosly-Breuilto the east of Compiègne, and Fitz-Jamesnear Clermont, in the Oise, the stores Leader Price have become ghosts.

For several weeks, part of the food aisles of these supermarkets are left empty.

No delivery

Which is explained by a lack of delivery inside stores “for some time”, indicates the staff of the Trosly-Breuil store, which was one of the only survivors of the sale of Leader Price stores by the Casino group to the German discounter Aldi in 2020.

Result: this means that this supermarket has no longer been stocked since last September.

An expected change of brand

According to our information, there are no planned closures for these Leader Prices. On the other hand, a new brand should be installed soon in both stores.

“The concept will completely change in two or three weeks with a change of supplier,” says staff. In the meantime, the five employees can neither stock the shelves, due to lack of delivery, nor collect cash from customers, who no longer come.

“It will be a surprise, even for us”

After the entrance, we are told that a restocking is hoped for in the wake of this mysterious change of brand, although the identity of the buyer is not yet known. “It will be a surpriseeven for us,” explains an employee.

According to Oise Hebdoemployees of these stores were also victims of delays and lack of salaries. A situation that would have returned to normal.

When contacted, the manager of the two stores did not respond to our requests.
