Discover the new park

Good news: a a whole new green space will see the light of day in 2025 in . This brand new park will be located on the site of a building which will be completely demolished. He will undoubtedly be a haven of peace for local residents. Besides, while waiting for its opening, you can choose its new name!

A new green space in Montrouge

This new 1,300 m² park, located soon 127 avenue de la Républiquewill be equipped with a 100 m² pool to cool off in summer. More than one twenty trees will be plantedin addition to the 13 others already existing, in order to provide shade to the park! The garden will extend along Avenue de la République, which will become entirely green and pedestrian. Likewise, the place du 8 mai 1945 will be redeveloped.

Choose the name of the future Montrouge park

Moreover, for this new green space, the municipality of Hauts-de-Seine leaves the power to you ! That of choosing your name… You have the choice between six propositions :

  • Fernand-Léger Park, in homage to the painter who lived in Montrouge
  • The Poets’ Garden, to recall the names of the streets in the neighborhood
  • Ariane-Mnouchkine Park, a talented theater director who lived in Montrouge
  • The Parc de la Dignité, directly linked to the statue which was present on the Place du 8 Mai 1945 and which could be found in the park
  • The Parc de la Vallière, the name of the old castle located within Montrouge
  • La Park, a nod to the street of the same name

For now, we will have to wait until the old building is completely demolished and then the land is cleared. THE work will begin in spring 2025 for 10 long months. With a little patience, the park will be ready by the end of 2025! You will then be able to take full advantage of it.
