The Department has invested €375,000 in the construction of these new premises which are due to open in the second half of 2025.

Currently installed in commercial premises on Avenue François Mitterrand, the current municipal police station has become cramped given the increasing number of staff. The service premises were also unsuitable for the diversity of agent recruitment.

The town of therefore wanted to have a new police station and decided to build a new building on avenue Pierre Salvi. These 450m premises2 of surface area will be on 2 levels. The ground floor will be reserved for municipal police services and public reception, while the upper level will allow the installation of the Urban Supervision Center, currently located at Place du Général de Gaulle, as well as the entire of its equipment. Note that Val d'Oise is one of the first departments to have set up a departmental supervision center.

The building will be secure and will have its security reinforced in order to ensure effective protection of people and property against intrusions and malicious acts. It will eventually be able to accommodate 38 agents:

  • 24 municipal police officers
  • 6 public road surveillance agents
  • 8 agents from the urban supervision center

«Today, this municipal police station already stands in our minds as a beacon of security, a sanctuary of justice, a place where the sacred bonds of trust are woven between residents and those who watch over them.» underlined Thomas Vatel, Departmental Advisor in charge of Security, during the laying of the first stone of the future Gonesse police station, which took place in the presence of the town's mayor.

As part of its Val d'Oise Territoires Fund, the Department invested 375,000 euros in this project.
