The motorist who hit and killed a 28 year old cyclist, Friday November 1, 2024, late afternoon, at Flourens (Haute-Garonne), east of the Pink City, was located “under the effects of cocaine”, indicated this Sunday a source close to the matter to Toulouse News.
Tried Monday for “aggravated manslaughter”

The cyclist killed in front of his partner’s eyes
At the end of Friday afternoon, while traveling on Chemin du Pastel, in Flourens, the cyclist had been hit from behind by this motorist. The victim was in cardio-respiratory arrest when emergency services arrived, who could do nothing to save him.
Aged only 28, the young man died under the eyes of his companion. Also on a bike, she was behind the motorist in question and witnessed the entire scene.
He said he was dazzled by the sun
Remaining on site while waiting for help, the driver was placed in police custody on Friday in the premises of the Balma brigade. Heard by the gendarmes, he explained not having seen the cyclist “because of the setting sun”, but the police had carried out, as is customary, the screening tests (alcohol and narcotics), as well as various expert assessments at the scene of the tragedy.
A child killed by another driver high on cocaine at the end of October

Friday evening in Grisolles, two brothers, quad pilots, collided with two cars in an accident: aged 37 and 39, their vital prognosis is in jeopardy. That of a 14-year-old teenager was also this Sunday after he was found unconscious in a ditch in Castelferrus the day before, following a bicycle accident, the circumstances of which are currently unknown. All three are hospitalized in Toulouse.
