Guillaume Lacroix chose La Rochelle to end his campaign in the European elections on Thursday June 6.

Leader of the Europe territories ecology (ETE) list, the boss of the PRG the Center Left wanted to conclude his electoral marathon with a tribute to Michel Crépeau by going to the Minimes, where the former mayor of La Rochelle posed the foundation stone of the university, in 1994. This is the first time in 30 years that the radical movement has submitted a list to the European elections.

Shortly before this final stage, the candidate went to the fishing port of Chef de Baie to talk with mussel farmer Benoît Durivaud.

For two and a half months, Guillaume Lacroix “traveled” outside the metropolises, “to meet France which doubts – between abstention, extremes and vote of refuge”: “I know this France which feels relegated”, insisted he this Thursday at the Moules Brothers table, defending a program “revolved around people’s lives”. In La Rochelle as elsewhere, he preached for the creation of an “Airbus of medicine”, consisting of using the model of the aircraft manufacturer to secure supplies in Europe, and the establishment of a resident status to facilitate access to housing in strained areas for people who work there.

Chaigneau on the list

Guillaume Lacroix did not just hunt on Jordan Bardella’s land while traveling through rural France. By posing as a representative of “the clear left”, the native of Bourg-en-Bresse tries to rally the left-wing electorate rejecting Nupes. “There is a real divide between LFI and part of the population”, he considers, calling for a “slightly different left, with clear values and which speaks concretely”. In addition to the PRG, six other parties appear on the ETE list credited with 0.5% of voting intentions.
