During its general assembly, which was held in Mende, Wednesday October 23, Ginette Brunel was elected president of the Lozère section of the National Association of Members of the National Order of Merit (ONM).
Passing of the baton
A large assembly witnessed the handover between Alain Teissier, former president, who was not running for health and family reasons, and Ginette Brunel, who has been involved in the Lozère section for many years.
Tribute to Alain Teissier
Prefect Philippe Castanet, member of the ONM section, paid tribute to Alain Teissier for his important public action which made it possible to promote the Order of Merit in the territory. Ginette Brunel, newly elected, also paid tribute to Alain Teissier, retracing his investment as president of the Lozère section.
“Highlight youth and merit”
The prefect, the mayor of Mende Régine Bourgade and all the participants congratulated Ginette Brunel on this election. The latter warmly thanked the companions who trusted her. “With the help of our committee and all of you, I am convinced that we will be able to continue our sustainable civic dynamic to highlight youth and merit.” she told them.
A new office
Ginette Brunel then set up the new section office: Liliane Domergue, 1re vice-president; Pierre Serrano, 2e vice-president; Guy Chaudesaigues, secretary; Jacqueline Duncat, assistant secretary; Ève Brezet, treasurer; Jérôme Ladet, deputy treasurer.
