The peaceful town of Ferdjioua (formerly called Fedj-M’zala) is not only a region where cereals, arboriculture and market gardening perform well with appreciable production and where an elite of intellectuals abound in all areas. areas.

It is also a city where sporting activity is particularly vibrant with the emergence of young talents, particularly in combat sports and martial arts. Among these sports, Qwan Ki Do which is already causing a sensation among young people and is starting to reap the benefits in Algeria and even abroad during the last African club championships held in Dakar (Senegal) on the 24th, 25th. and last May 26, 2024. And this is thanks to the dedication and commitment of young local masters who learned the foundations and other subtleties of this combat sport in Algiers. Ahmed Hendous (coach) and Khalil Razine (president) founded the Noudjoum Ferdjioua club.

The medalists, the young Abdelhalim Laib and two girls Malak Benoui and Selma Boudjerada, kept their commitments and honored first their dear country Algeria and then their city Ferdjioua, by winning three bronze medals after hard-fought battles. The said continental competition is part of the calendar of the African Federation of the discipline. The only Algerian delegation present during this competition was this club from Ferdjioua.

This trip to Senegal was made possible thanks to the support of the APC of Ferdjioua which carries out remarkable outreach work in favor of young people and also to the DJS of Mila. A friendly reception of encouragement and support was organized by members of the APC in the presence of Abdelmalek Maabed, head of the daira of Ferdjioua, in honor of the medalists.
