Legislative elections in Isère: first visit of Lyes Louffok to , “I’m happy to be there!”

Lyes Louffok left Val de where he lives, this Friday, November 1, to spend his first weekend in . After the withdrawal of Lucie Castets, he was chosen by LFI and EELV to represent the New Popular Front in the partial legislative election which will be held in the first constituency of Isère, probably next January, although no official date for the vote has been set.

First visit to Grenoble

For his first evening in the capital of the Alps, he chose to go, this Friday, November 1, to the Dia de Muertos, organized by the Mexican community, in the vast courtyard of Minimistan, rue Très-Cloîtres, where there was an atmosphere festive. For the moment, the Isère PS is maintaining its candidate, Amandine Germaindepartmental councilor and president of the socialist, rebellious, communist and environmentalist group. She is supported by number 3 of the PS, Pierre Jouvet. But at the beginning of next week, a meeting should be held in to decide whether or not to give up this candidacy, so that the NFP goes into battle united.

While waiting for the vagueness to clear up, Lyes Louffok is getting his bearings in Grenoble but there is no question of giving an interview. “It’s not time yet.” explains to us an Insoumis, seated alongside the young social worker, surrounded by Salomé Robin, LFI candidate for the 2022 legislative elections, beaten by Olivier Véran, Alain Dontaine, LFI but also Ali Karakiprik, EELV and Sophie Romera, from the Après association, created by Clémentine Autain.

A child rights activist

Very smiling, Lyes Louffok still lets us have a few words: “Yes, I have never been to Grenoble. You will tell me that it is a nice parachute drop! But I, who spent my childhood and my adolescence from home to home, from host family to host family, I I have lived in many departments, I have no local roots, as they say! So for me, it's not a problem.”

Lyes Louffok, who will celebrate his 30th birthday this November 3 in Grenoble, is a child rights activist. He had testified to the abuse he had suffered in a book, which was adapted for the screen and entitled: “In the hell of homes: me, Lyes, nobody’s child”

When asked about this question, he burst into flames: “Of course, the issue of Child Welfare, the judicial protection of minors, all these questions are at the heart of my commitment. If I am elected, I will bring them to the National Assembly.”
