The solidarity hike, organized on October 13 in Saint-Jean-le-Blanc (), helped raise funds for two associations fighting cancer.

This organized 12 km hike was one of the last events for the Coquelicot du Desert association, before the final preparations preceding the three women's expedition to Morocco.

A 100% feminine and supportive trek

The trinomial, composed ofElisa Belpaume, Alexia Kervaon et Carole Ropertis now in the home stretch of their solidarity project.

For more than a year, they have been active, through different actions, to raise funds, intended to finance their participation in the 6th edition of the Rose trip Maroc, a 100% female and supportive trek, which will take place from October 31 to November 5.

The three women decided to get involved in a cause that is dear to them. They thus chose two associations fighting against cancer: Cadet Roussel and Ruban rose.

A walk for Juliette

With this in mind, they proposed a hike on Saturday October 13, “a walk for Juliette”, daughter of one of them, who died at the age of 11 from cancer.

“The fact of investing in this solidarity project helps me to overcome this painful ordeal while committing myself to supporting the action of the Cadet Rousse association”, which helps children suffering from leukemia or cancerous tumors, University Hospital.

Mobilization for golden September

On the basis of free participation, 120 walkers were present at 9:30 a.m. departing from the stadium of the delegated municipality of Terres de Druance.

This walk will now be repeated every year, in September, as part of Golden September, dedicated to the fight against cancers in children, adolescents and young adults.

Orienteering in Morocco

A few days before their flight to Morocco, crew 72 of the Rose trip Maroc perfected “their mastery of orientation and map reading with a firefighter friend at the valley of the gardens of Caen, then a few days later in forest in Curcy-sur-Orne,” explains one of the competitors.

Equipped with a compass, a map and a topographical protractor, the three partners will now have to find their way alone in the Moroccan desert.

Registered among the 110 teams in the discovery category, under number 72they will cover between 12 and 15 km each of the three days of orienteering and will also carry out a solidarity walk to support the Ruban rose association.
