They both have very distinct professions: she is a sophrologist, he is a sports coach. Each in their profession, they made an observation: many of those who come to see them do so for reasons very often linked to their work. They therefore decided to collaborate and put themselves at the service of companies that wish it.

Well-being in the workplace has become a major issue in recent years. Work has a direct impact on the mental health of employees, and “in our opinion, there are ways to act to preserve it” explain Marie-Pierre Fargue and Marc Rebonato, presenting their professional collaboration.

“Unhappiness at work is a subject of national magnitude and immediate relevance. Everyone is looking for solutions to certain unhappiness that can exist within companies of all sizes,” noted Marie-Pierre Fargue and Marc Rebonato, respectively sophrologist and sports coach. “Even if each of us is faced with different audiences, they all have one thing in common: in the majority of cases, it is the fact of not really feeling at home in their work that pushes them to come and see us” confirms Marc Rebonato.

“Sport as an outlet”

And Marc continues. “I realize that the people who come to see me do so mainly to let off steam, to free themselves from something. And like the majority of people who come to ask me to coach them, they are still in professional activity. from Marie-Pierre, she told me that she made exactly the same observation. Almost all of her patients work and need psychological support, they come to let off steam, physical activity is one for them. a form of outlet, of release from problems that they are likely to experience in their everyday life or in their work. And there are many of them in this case, Marie-Pierre explained to me. also, was confronted with this kind of public”. So, among health professionals, they discuss it a lot. And they are trying to find solutions. “We are like everyone else, we follow the news. And it is true that health is one of our concerns because it is entirely part of our professional activities. According to the figures that we have been able to obtain regarding our concerns, it appears that 77 million working hours are lost due to sick leave, and the loss of many of these hours is explained by a form of unhappiness at work.

“We offer prevention instead of cure”

From this observation, an idea was born in the heads of these two professionals. Why not combine their skills to approach companies to offer them well-being programs, mixing physical activity and sophrology sessions in the workplace. “We propose to set up workshops which will reduce muscular tension, stress, etc., while boosting team productivity and the feeling of a form of well-being at work. What we want to achieve with the tools that we have put in place, it is preventive instead of curative actions. We are convinced that these tools will optimize the overall well-being within the teams. We are addressing all the companies in the department. , regardless of their size and the number of their employees”.

It is an innovative approach that these two professionals offer by combining their skills: mind and body. So why not give it a try.

Well-being and work, what findings?

Well-being is linked to different factors: health at work, social or economic success, pleasure, self-realization, harmony with oneself and with others. According to the Larousse dictionary, well-being corresponds to “a pleasant state resulting from the satisfaction of the needs of the body and calm of the mind”. The meaning of well-being can thus refer to various areas such as lifestyle, school, work, health, the economy or even society. More specifically, “well-being at work” refers to all the factors, more or less identifiable, likely to influence how employees feel about their place and working conditions. This notion is intended to be broader in scope than the notions of physical and mental health.
