André Guerini was killed, shortly before midnight this Thursday, October 31, by “gunshots”, according to information provided by the head of the Bastia public prosecutor's office. Coming from a well-known family of traders from Balagne, this owner of a restaurant in Calvi was allegedly shot dead at the wheel of his car, while he was parking at the entrance to the village of Calenzana, reports France 3.

The research section of the Corsican gendarmerie and the judicial police of the interdepartmental direction of the national police of Haute-Corse were joined to carry out the first investigations.

The murder of this trader comes less than a month after the assassination of Massimo Ponchelet, killed on October 6 in L'Île-Rousse, a town in Balagne located about twenty kilometers from Calenzana.
