This Tuesday, June 4, the Olympic flame passes through Vendée. Before a much-anticipated passage through the Puy du Fou, the flame began its journey through Vendée with the magnificent Passage du Gois.

The Olympic flame will pass through several towns and emblematic places in Vendée this Tuesday, June 4, before a celebration at the end of the day in Les Sables-d’Olonne.

She began her journey through Vendée at eight o’clock via the legendary Passage du Gois which connects Noirmoutier to the continent at low tide.

The flame was carried from the easternmost beacon of Gois to the mainland by four torchbearers. The first was the Dane Tom Kristensen, nine times winner at Le Mans.
