A few dozen people took part in the Kidney Foundation walk.

A few dozen people walked this morning at the Chicoutimi Port Zone to raise money for the Kidney Foundation.

The goal was $25,000.

For 60 years, the Foundation has supported people battling kidney disease and their families.

The event took place at the Chicoutimi Port Zone.

The foundation can in particular help affected people find accommodation during transplants or even provide them with equipment to do their dialysis at home.

These people on dialysis have really great dietary constraints. Then we must not think that it is an illness of elderly people, because that is falseshe continued.

The Kidney Walk is the largest national fundraising event to support the Kidney Foundation’s vital research and patient programs, the organization’s website states.
