Description of tasks :
The entertainment agent will ensure operations related to canvassing, monitoring concert proposals and market development for the artists represented by the company.

Main tasks :

  • Develop and maintain relationships with artists, managers, presenters and event promoters.
  • Participate in the development and planning of artists’ touring projects.
  • Offer shows by telephone and email.
  • Ensure rigorous follow-ups with various clients.
  • Negotiate performance contracts, including financial, logistical and technical aspects.
  • Represent artists at conferences, festivals and other industry events.
  • Stay informed of entertainment industry trends and development opportunities for artists.
  • Ensure the submission of registration files to the various showcases.
  • Prepare application files for competitions and prizes.
  • Send mass promotional emails to venue and festival programming managers.
  • Update company database, production schedule and artist schedule as needed.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Get involved in the field during events in the Montreal region.
  • Perform any other task related to the entertainment department.

Skills sought:

  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
  • Ease of creating and maintaining links with different people;
  • Mastery of the office suite (Word, Excel) and comfort with IT tools;
  • Knowledge of venue networks and festival circuits;
  • Knowledge of Google, Asana and HubSpot tools (an asset);
  • Have an interest in music, shows and culture in general;
  • Knowledge of the different stages related to the production of records and shows;
  • Demonstrate rigor and attention to detail;
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities;
  • Strong sense of organization: always be proactive and not get overwhelmed;
  • Have the ability to work in an open-plan environment;
  • Know how to work independently and in a team;
  • Ease of adaptation to a constantly changing world.
