New information was revealed in the file of the tragic death of Victor Masson in Puerto Escondido by the Attorney General of the State of Oaxaca, José Bernardo Rodriguez Alamilla, on Wednesday evening.
According to the press release, Mr. Masson and his partner, Eiva Castillo, arrived for a vacation in Oaxaca a day before the murder.

Call for help
The Attorney General also confirmed that Victor Masson tried to contact 911 and his wife after the argument, visibly worried for his life, as reported The newspaper yesterday.
“After this fight, he made calls to report that he had been assaulted and that his personal belongings had been stolen and in the early morning, he was found dead,” notes Mr. Rodriguez Alamilla.
The spokesperson for the family of the deceased, Annie Viau, confirmed that the two brothers of Mr. Masson are currently on site to take care of the steps to repatriate the body. According to her, the procedures are tedious and complex, especially in a context where “they are devastated by the sentence”.

The body of the 27-year-old was eventually found, shot in the back, in a rental car in the Arroyo Seco area.
