Policy. The Meuse-Rognon community of communes brought together its elected officials on Wednesday May 22, in Roches-Bettaincourt. The agenda proposed by President Nicolas Lacroix was unanimously approved.

The Community of Communes is recruiting. Approved without reservation, the creation of a full-time category B territorial technician position is approved, in order to strengthen the administrative team and address engineering issues (roads, construction site monitoring) in the field. The allocation of subsidies to sports and cultural associations was also voted on. The 17 applicant associations received a total of €40,485.50. Subsidies for exceptional events have also been awarded, notably for the Bourmont exhibition fair and the Color Run in Breuvannes. Also supported by an additional budget of €2,755, events linked to the Olympic Games. The purchase of sports equipment has been validated, in partnership with public stakeholders for Vacan’sports leisure centers.

Integration and green spaces

President Nicolas Lacroix informed elected officials of the grant request made by the Meuse-Rognon construction site workshop (ACI) whose activity focuses on the maintenance of green spaces and monuments or buildings. The president recalled that the ACI worked 114 days in 2023 for the community of municipalities, giving full satisfaction, but the association is having difficulty closing its budget. The granting of the grant was voted unanimously, as well as a schedule of intervention hours for the current year to be established, and thus, support them. Elected officials and individuals are invited to contact the association: “I have been calling on them for several years, and am very satisfied with them. It’s economically interesting, and we help people,” underlines Gilles Desnouveaux, mayor of Reynel. Please note that the water collectors ordered by residents are currently being delivered.

Article 169 of the 3DS law was also recalled which extended the obligation to name roads and number buildings to municipalities with less than 2,000 inhabitants and came into force on 1er June 2024. The few municipalities with at least one route without any indication have until 1er June to comply, and at the same time, facilitate the work relating to the household waste fee.

The gendarmerie meets elected officials

Chaumont squadron leader Adrien Rabot and Major Vincent Baillot, commander of the Andelot-Blancheville brigade community, made the trip and spoke with elected officials for around thirty minutes. The objective was multiple for this proposed point regarding the territorial base of Meuse-Rognon. Firstly, address the local delinquency figures which remain low and under control for these first five months of the year, as well as those concerning road safety offences. Good news, over this same reference period and compared to the previous year, family violence is down from nine to four interventions. Commander Rabot recalled the usefulness of the Gend’Elu application, which allows city councilors to be informed and guided in the event of a delicate situation, and Major Baillot represented the citizen participation system, inviting global vigilance useful to investigators. .
