where to go during this 3 day weekend?

This big weekend is the perfect opportunity to explore your region a little more.

Chance of the calendar, or blessing of the gods, this year in 2024, November 1, All Saints’ Day, falls on a Friday! And who says public holiday on Friday, said possibility of going for a good three-day weekendbefore returning to two months of intense work before Christmas. A great weekend that comes at just the right time, therefore, even if we still have a problem: when we see the rainy weather it is currently having, we say to ourselves that it will probably be much worse at the end of the month. October, so no walks on the program for November 1st! On the other hand, we have a whole bunch of other places to recommend, just to keep you busy during these 3 days.

Relaxation and gastronomy at Lake Serre-Ponçon

We start gently, with a perfect place to relax, recharge your batteries and eat well, whether you are alone or as a couple (with family, it can start to get quite expensive): the hotel, restaurant and spa La Robéyère. Located on the edge of Lake Serre-Ponçonthe place offers you a unique view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, but that’s not all. The restaurant is also renowned, with cuisine inspired by the local region, all with seasonal products. But it is obviously for its breathtaking views and for the whole spa side, with the possibility (depending on the season) of accessing the outdoor water areas, for a complete change of scenery, facing the mountains.

Family weekend at Suite-Home Briançon

A more family atmosphere this time, for a stay near Briançon / Serre-Chevalier. Located not far from the famous ski resort, the Suite-Home Hotel (bilinguals will appreciate the play on words) offers you a cozy and comfortable environment, with access to the entertainment offered by the resort throughout the year: the cinema complex, the casino, etc… but also to the facilities available directly in the hotel, such as the indoor swimming pool, the sauna and the hammam, the gym, but also a solarium located on the 4th floor of the establishment. Everything you need to recharge the batteries, as a family or as a couple!

Gastronomy weekend in Gréoux-les-Bains

We continue with high standards, with a renowned establishment: the Villa Borghese Hotel in Gréoux-les-Bains. A 4-star establishment, with all that implies in terms of comfort and equipment, located between the Verdon gorges and the Lubéron: a wellness center with various massages offered, a sauna, scrubs. But it is above all for its gastronomic restaurant that the establishment interests us today: masterfully managed by chef Franck Pujol, it will offer you a whole variety of fairly high-end dishes, with shoulder lamb confit for twelve hours or langoustines roasted with buckwheat. Enough to fill your stomach with very fine dishes, between two walks in this area which is one of the most beautiful landscapes in , all while being surrounded by greenery as soon as you wake up!

Balneotherapy stay in Ancelles

Located not far from the Écrins National Parkthe hotel, restaurant and spa Les Autanes will offer you everything you are looking for during a long weekend of decompression and letting go: starting with its balneotherapy aspect. The establishment is equipped with its own spa, the 05SPA, but also has a team of beauticians and practitioners who will be able to offer you different massages and body treatments in order to leave this little dream place completely peaceful. But that’s not all: a Châlet d’Ô space, with Nordic baths heated to 37 degrees, a hammam, sauna and a herbal tea room is also available for reservation. And on the restaurant side, we are also well served, with rather copious and salivating dishes, from starters (Tourton Rossini or Caillette aux herbes) to dessert.

Luxury stopover with , Spa, gastro dinner in Niozelles

We end in style with our most luxurious weekend idea for these 3 days of All Saints’ Day: the Ribiera estate, with hotel, spa, golf course and who proudly displays its 5 stars as soon as he can. It must be said that the establishment has lived up to its reputation, with a 9-hole course specially reserved for hotel guests (reservation possible), a gourmet restaurant with menus very “Provence” oriented, but also its spa, essential for a 5 star, with several types of treatments offered, but also a heated indoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a hammam, an ice fountain, a solarium, and also a gym, for those who prefer fidget rather than enjoy! Horse and carriage rides are also offered if the weather permits, with the possibility of renting a 2CV and even a hot air balloon.
