The Presidency of the Republic of Senegal has announced excellent news which will reassure the relatives of Senegalese people in Lebanon.

Faced with the instability of the country, several nations have dispatched resources to repatriate their citizens. For Senegal, it is a successful operation. A total of 117 people were repatriated to the country.

“The Presidency of the Republic of Senegal is pleased to announce the safe return of our compatriots repatriated from Lebanon, following the deterioration of the security situation in this country.

Thanks to rapid and coordinated mobilization, our compatriots are returning to their native land with dignity. Support measures have already been put in place to facilitate their return and guarantee their well-being.

The President of the Republic, who expressed a message of solidarity towards his compatriots, reaffirmed his commitment to protect all Senegalese, wherever they are.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic of Senegal, Diomaye Faye, spoke about the situation:
“Today I welcomed with deep emotion our compatriots whom we repatriated from Lebanon.

I am delighted that they returned safely.

The security of our compatriots, wherever they are, will remain an absolute priority for the government.

Faced with challenges, we remain united in solidarity”he said.
