The Union of Landowners of Marais Poitevin (SPFMP) launches the 3e edition of its Lumbering Exchange, an initiative which consists of bringing together individuals who wish to “make” wood with the owners of wooded plots to be pruned.

In addition to this connection, the SPFMP provides advice to owners on the exploitation of their trees, as well as to loggers, in particular on the pruning of tadpoles: “In association with the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park, the integration association Nature Solidaire opens its pruning training courses to amateur loggers in order to familiarize themselves with the equipment and practices. »

Harvester

The SPFMP also facilitates the use of a harvester, when conditions are suitable. “This machine allows you to cut the branches flush with the tadpole’s head and align them with the ground. All that remains for the lumberjack to do is to cut them to length in complete safety. » A partnership has been established with a professional.

CONTRACT

If it does not intervene in the transaction between loggers and owners, the union proposes, and strongly recommends, the establishment of a contract preventing suspicion of undeclared work and recourse in the event of an accident.
