The victim officer was injured by “several blows to the face”, and his partner was “shocked”. Two suspects have already been placed in pre-trial detention.
He had been wanted since the beginning of October. According to information from BFMTV, a man, suspected of having taken part in the violent attack on a prison officer stationed at La Santé prison in Paris, was arrested on October 16 in Marseille (Bouches-du- Rhône). This suspect was arrested while he was the subject of a search card after being identified by investigators from the departmental judicial police service (SDPJ) of Seine-Saint-Denis, in charge of investigations.
Still according to our information, the genetic fingerprint of this man was recorded on the doorbell of the apartment of the attacked supervisor. This suspect was presented this Friday, October 18, to “a judge of liberties and detention (JLD) of the Bobigny judicial court,” the Bobigny prosecutor’s office told BFMTV.
Three suspects had already been arrested in this case, as revealed by BFMTV. Two of them, including a minor, were indicted before being placed in pre-trial detention. The latter was at the wheel of an Audi Q2 vehicle at the time of the attack which dates back to the evening of September 26.
“Several blows to the face”
Still according to BFMTV, one of the suspects confessed and indicated that he had acted “in exchange for 800 euros”. On the evening of the events, around 10:45 p.m., three unknown men, masked and armed with a handgun, managed to enter the home of the prison guard, residing in Montreuil-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis).
The victim agent, born in 1983, had been injured by “several blows to the face”, and his partner, born in 1989, had been “shocked, but not injured”, according to information transmitted by the Bobigny prosecutor’s office which specifies that ‘”no other person was in the home at the time of the incident.”
Before leaving the apartment, the attackers had made “threats related to the work of the prison officer”, added the prosecution, without elaborating further on the content of the comments made. Investigations are continuing to determine the precise motive for this attack.
