Run for a good cause. “La Parisienne”, this race reserved for women for the benefit of medical research against breast cancer, is back in Paris this Sunday, October 20, 2024. This 27th edition will be placed under the “Flower Power” themeback to the hippie times.

20,000 runners spread over three races

This Sunday morning, there will be 20,000 of them taking the start of the three races (10 km, 7 km and 7 km walk). The start of each race is planned on the Pont d’Iéna in the 16th arrondissement.

As for the Marathon for All of the 2024 Olympic Games, runners will have the right to “Paris postcard” with the Invalides, the Champs-Élysées and the Place de la Concorde. As for many years, the arrival is planned at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

Launched in 1997 by Alain Aknin, this race welcomes runners from all over each year. For the 2024 edition, reservations have been full for many weeks. A race in which Salima Saa, the Secretary of State for Gender Equality, could take part, according to The Parisian.

Numerous traffic restrictions in the center of Paris

The holding of “La Parisienne” will cause its share of disruptions this Sunday. In a decree, the Police Headquarters banned traffic in several streets in four districts of the capital: the 1st, 2, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th.
