We marvel while listening to tales about the Land of the 2 Capes

The 11th edition of the “Rendez-Vous Contes” festival will be held from Monday October 21 to Friday October 25, on the Land of the 2 capes. On the program: stories to take you away to magical and wonderful places, but also treasure hunts, workshops, puppet shows and even songs! The full program here.

We discover the sacred ibis at Fort-Mardyck and the hedgehog in

Bio-Topia, at Fort Mardyckoffers a new highlight on the occasion of the All Saints’ Day holidays. From October 19 to November 3, the center highlights sacred ibises, these birds, which “ for about a millennium, beginning in 1100 BC, were frequently mummified as offerings to Thoth, believing that mummification would put the birds in a direct line to the afterlife… », explains Bio-Topia. Treasure hunts, workshops and surveys are also planned.

Also go to Cité Nature, in Arras. We meet animals from Pas-de- farms

This fall, the farms of -Pas-de-Calais in the “Bienvenue à la ferme” network are offering numerous activities for children and adults. We will thus be able to discover beekeeping, Acqat Laure Charpentier, which offers a workshop for children aged 6 and over to discover the profession, on Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 October, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We visit the Playmobil® exhibition on the history of Boulogne-sur-Mer

After the great success encountered last December with the exhibition on Napoleon in Playmobil®, the city of Boulogne-sur-Mer has chosen to extend this universe by creating a new exhibition on “The timeline of time in Boulogne-sur-Mer”. We discover, in a fun way, the history and evolution of the city, in a few scenes. This exhibition will be on view until January 5, 2025. Meet at the Imperial Palace, 17 rue du Puits d’amour. We get a good dose of jitters everywhere

You have an appointment at Sailly-sur-la-Lys for Halloween Nightmare, 4th edition, organized by the L’Iris bleue association! When? Saturday October 26, at the sports hall. And this year, young and old alike will discover a new format! Children will be able to take part in a Kids party, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Equipped with their best disguise, they will be able to enjoy an inflatable structure, a boom, but also numerous Halloween-themed games indoors (entrance: 5 euros per child, free for accompanying adults). The City of Touquet--Plageshe concocts a whole range of activities during the holidays, most of which are on Halloween. For example, a ghost hunt is organized on Wednesday October 23 and 30 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the museum. Children will go in search of ghosts hidden in the exhibition (no reservation – free). For teenagers, from 14 years old, a Murder Party is also organized on Wednesday October 23 and 30, but at 7 p.m. at the museum. At nightfall, the museum invites you to become an investigator (reservation required). You can also take part in a pumpkin-carving competition (up to 12 years old), on Wednesday October 30 at 10:30 a.m., at Parc des Pins (free, registration at the tourist office).

The Museum of Flanders, Casselalso put together a few workshops to keep the children busy during the holidays. For example, a paper sculpture workshop “Hooked nose and pointy hat” (from 4 years old) will take place on Sunday October 27 and Friday November 1, at 3:30 p.m. 4 euros for under 18s, 9 euros for adults, reservation required. Or, a technical workshop for the “Ensorcelé Paper” monotype will take place on Saturday October 25 and Wednesday October 30, at 3:30 p.m. (from 6 years old). Using scraps of newspaper, old books and colored sheets, create monotypes of monsters and witches’ accessories, then connect your sheets to make a grimoire. 4 euros for under 18s, 9 euros for adults, reservation required.

On the side of the castle Fressincome and celebrate Halloween as it should be. On October 26 and 27, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., many activities are planned such as a ghost hunt, plaster painting, creative workshops, a gel ball session, duck fishing, an escape game and a costume contest. You can also get busy at the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette 14-18 Memorial! An investigation game “In the footsteps of the poilus”, for ages 7 and up, is organized on Saturday October 26 at 10:30 a.m. The goal is to solve puzzles to learn more about history and discover life daily life of soldiers or French. Another investigation game “In the footsteps of a sporting soldier” will take place on Saturday November 2 at 10:30 a.m., for ages 6 and up. The goal? Seek to identify a mysterious sports soldier! Price: 4 euros per team.

What if we rediscovered the city of Béthunebut in the Middle Ages? A guided tour “Béthune in the Middle Ages: hidden places” is planned for Saturday October 19 and November 2, at 4:30 p.m. You will rediscover as a family the ancient history of the town, which was built as a trading stronghold from the Middle Ages. From the half-timbered house to the defensive tower, immerse yourself in the heart of medieval, civil and military architecture. From 5 years old. We discover new films in Calais

The 5th film festival for young and old will take place from Monday October 21 to Tuesday October 29, at the arthouse cinema L’Alhambra, in Calais. Several workshops will be followed or preceded by a film screening. For example, on Wednesday October 23, children will be able to play three games after the screening of the film Flow, the cat who was no longer afraid of water. 30 participants maximum. Or, for the closing, a beach workshop for 3-4 year olds (with the use of kinetic sand) is planned at 10:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. around the film Owl, Children’s Play.
