EVA Meaux, the only games room in the department. Its opening is already unleashing the crowds… Since its official arrival in mid-August 2024, players have all rushed to discover the room (and sometimes, they come from far away). At the head of this franchise, we find a group of friends overflowing with energy. “ Initially, a friend proposed the project to me, I immediately said ‘no’! He insisted, we went to an EVA room to try… I was amazed by the game itself, even if I’m not a gamer in the first place. We included my son and another friend… We went on an adventure ! » For ten months, the work punctuated the daily life of its contractors… A challenge met with flying colors! The site impresses players, as well as its visitors. “ These are augmented reality game rooms with headsets on their heads and weapons in their hands, all in a 514m² arena. We move freely with 8 to 10 players in space. We evolve in unreal but virtual worlds. There are two spaces: two rooms, two atmospheres. The games room is very bright for computing needs (for game settings), by contrast, the restaurant/bar area is very hot (a small cocoon) with benches (a modern decoration). » An atmosphere which allows both players and those accompanying them to come together for a game before relaxing over a drink.

The EVA concept (Esports Virtual Arenas), a game accessible to everyone. In this bright arena, the less experienced can easily have fun with the more experienced. For his first steps on the EVA virtual scene, Alexandre didn’t hold back. And since then, he has made good progress! “ I’m not old, I’m not young… I’m not a gamer, but it goes further than video games, we’re really immersed, we enter the screen. It’s physical, we move around, we can travel up to 1.2km during a game. It’s a very different feeling from a video game… It’s an experience to live ! » Do you want to play? Don’t hesitate to travel with friends! “ There are several game modes. The first is individual, you have to fight against others. As a team, you have to fight against the other team. We also have a zombie mode which is quite impressive, the participants are attacked by zombies. It’s funny to experience as well as to watch, it screams everywhere. » Are you tempted? Book your game now. I tested it for you… and it’s exciting! Any advice? Surround yourself with a group of friends within your reach! “ It’s open to everyone, it is prohibited for children under 12 years old and people with epilepsy. Zoombie mode is prohibited for children under 16 because it is scary… It’s very immersive, we’re attacked by zombies! Honestly, we have the feeling that they are biting our feet. » It is obviously advisable to play with friends or family members. Here, the biggest squabbles that cannot be resolved in real life can be (finally) resolved.
An immersive plot of 514m². Behind a screen, young people can sometimes get annoyed (by tapping against their desk). Here, they are the sole masters of their destiny. The arrival of this EVA Meaux room in Nanteuil? A blessing! « It’s very family-oriented, it’s my son who is in management of the establishment. The team is young and for many, these are the sons of friends that I saw grow up. It’s very complementary! I have the vision of the former, more oriented towards business management. » A complementarity which is also written thanks to the experience of the youngest employees. The particularity of the concept? Its rarity! « It’s big, that’s the difficulty of finding a room that allows this implementation. In general, it takes a bit of time to set up an EVA company like that. Today, we should reach 70 theaters before the end of this year. They hope for 200 rooms next year. It’s really in development, it’s quite recent (less than four years), we are the 35th venue in France. It’s a surprising development but in tune with the times. » Unlike laser games, the game room does not need additional work to evolve. All it takes is a simple update! « In the same space, you can have several game modeswe can make them evolve indefinitely. There, we will arrive at more sporty modes. Next year, we are going to play games like handball or paddle. It’s unlimited, it’s the future ! » In a few months, the concept could even expand… to meet visitor expectations. “ We have rooms upstairs which will surely open with other activities (like a karaoke room), rooms to vary the offering… We will also have table football, rooms that will allow people to stay while having a drink at our house. » You don’t want to play? Don’t panic! You can simply have a drink, eat or relax there. Boards, burgers and desserts… All the catering is homemade, a chef who sweetens the end of the game.
