The Friendly Ball loses in the final of the Coupe du Gard

The Boule Amiale team lost in the final of the Coupe du against the Molières-Cavaillac team, in Marguerittes. Despite the defeat, the finalists’ journey remains remarkable. The team, made up of Célia Pagano, Joyce Koré, Stéphane Grani, Jonatan Tourreau, Franck Olivares, Mickael Egea, Dylan Dubois, and led by captain Éric Trauchessec, was able to show its determination and team spirit throughout the competition. However, the Boule Amiale association deplores the organization of the competition, in particular the poor planning of the committee. “The final phases took place at the same time as the regional championships, which deprived the team of several senior players, who had to prioritize their participation in CRC1,” explains the president, Richard Meunier.

The Friendly Ball, in search of the national level

At the same time, the first team of the Friendly Ball participated in the regional first division championships (CRC1), in Lamalou-les-Bains (Hérault). The weekend was crowned with success with three victories: one over Salindres (32 to 4), the other against Mende (19 to 0) and one against Marvejols (22 to 14). Thanks to these performances, the team currently occupies first place in its group. Sunday October 20the team will travel to Saint-Martin (Pyrénées-Orientales) to face Lamalou in the morning and Saint-Martin in the afternoon. Finally, the Friendly Ball will host the last day of CRC1, Sunday November 3. On this occasion, Caveirac will face Lodève in the morning and Cap d’ in the afternoon. This day will be decisive: it will determine the first two teams in the group which will advance to the final stages, with the hope of moving up to CNC 3 next year. The Friendly Ball remains resolutely focused on the future with the ambition of reaching the national level.
