The Departmental Union of Municipal Social Action Centers (UDCCAS) of met, around its president Annick Nougé and its vice-president, Chrystelle Mallet. Employment, the integration of young people, and support for caregivers were discussed. The morning was devoted to the intervention of Travail teams and the Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor and Solidarity (DDETS) on the full employment law. The Epide team (establishment for employment integration), based in Alès-la Grand Combe, also took part in a presentation of the structure and its missions.

At the end of the lunch, a presentation of the CCAS of Bouillargues was made. Its actions were presented, with the presence of several members of its board of directors and its partners, such as the Department with Béatrice Briand, social worker, who is on duty twice a week at the town hall.

About forty people were gathered

Several associative structures in Gard intervened in the home help sector, presenting their structure and the services offered to caregivers. The Amaëlles association holds a Respite Stop, every Tuesday afternoon, for relatives of caregivers, supervised by two care assistants. Via femina fama has been working in the town for more than three years to support and accompany victims of domestic violence. The APO-G association of speech therapists organizes meetings with young parents to talk about the importance of language for toddlers. Around forty people participated in this day, agents and elected officials from CCAS throughout Gard. “This is a specificity specific to the UDCCAS: all meetings are open to both elected officials and agents. In this very particular area of ​​social action in the municipalities, there is complementarity between the agent who is on the ground and the elected official who adapts his social policy in line with the public encountered”, clarified Chrystelle Mallet. The Vice President concluded by saying: “It’s always very rewarding for a CCAS to receive CCAS from the entire department. We can discuss our experiences together and especially our specificities.”
