the essential
Integration, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), education and learning, fight against digital exclusion… The business club, very anchored in the region, is on all fronts.

Face Aveyron Tarn, “network of companies committed to the region”, created in 2015 is affiliated with the national Face foundation. And brought together all its members at the Jardin d’Arvieu for a general assembly which took stock of the actions and projects, under the co-chairmanship of Michel Alibert and Nicolas Barthez.

It is also an opportunity to recall that, in concrete terms, the association is a club of businesses which are actively engaged in the fight against exclusion. These ethical companies also work pragmatically alongside vulnerable populations in the region, against discrimination. Face Aveyron Tarn is three employees, more than 40 resource people, that is to say partner company managers, it is 1,900 people beneficiaries of their actions and it is also more than 2,500 hours of volunteering.

Four areas of intervention

Face Aveyron Tarn focuses its energy on four areas of intervention. Firstly, the integration of people far from employment. In partnership with Travail, the Local Missions, the Judicial Protection of Youth (PJJ), the Penitentiary Integration and Probation Service (SPIP), the Face business club works with its member business leaders and facilitates access to employment for unemployed people.

Next, Face works to raise awareness among companies about their social responsibility. And proposes to introduce business leaders to Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QVCT) and the well-being of workers, from employees to managers.

The third aspect of Face’s intervention is education. The idea is to offer school children spaces to discover careers in their apprenticeship.

Humanist and complementary action

Finally, Face contributes to the fight against digital exclusion which represents a serious divide in our social landscape. If all young French people know how to use a smartphone, some, many even, do not know how to send an email. Digital exclusion naturally does not only concern young people, it also affects older populations. Face also fights against cyber-harassment and cyber-crime.

Despite all this work, Face does not compete with the structures that already take care of these areas of social intervention. On the other hand, it is perfectly complementary and makes a point of innovating in its actions, of proposing things that are not already done, of creating new bridges. Thus, Face completes the range of social solutions offered to residents of the region. By actively working to bring the social basin and local businesses closer together, the Face Aveyron Tarn association is breaking the outdated codes of employee-business relations, to propose others, inspired by a more humanist vision of business in heart of its employment area.

And the network also works for the demographic sustainability of the territory by promoting the establishment of people through employment. Making connections is what can synthesize the thinking of the leaders of Face Aveyron Tarn, bringing the company closer to people, abolishing the virtual boundaries between a human territory and its economic potential.
