According to Actu.frtwo dogs were found injured and in unsanitary conditions in Rantigny (Oise). Attached to the muzzle with clamps, they bore signs of abuse. The Animaux Sans Toit association and an investigator from the Compiègne SPA intervened at the owner’s home.
The canines, a Golden Retriever and an American Staffordshire Terrier, were fortunately able to be saved on Saturday, following a report. An association received photos and testimonies concerning the signs of abuse and decided to intervene with the Liancourt gendarmes.
Clamps to prevent barking
When they arrived, the authorities noted the deplorable conditions of the animals, who were walking in their excrement. Injured at the muzzle level because of rilsans, plastic clamps used in piping or DIY, these animals experienced a real ordeal.
Looking at the marks on the dogs, we can guess that the owner had gotten into the habit of putting these collars on them. The latter claims that he took this measure so that the neighborhood would no longer complain about barking, while waiting for muzzles to be received. The dogs had no food and only one of them had water in the bowl. They were tied by chains in the yard, between the trash cans.
