Manu Disabato, former Walloon green deputy who was not re-elected last June, is the new Mayor of Frameris! Since Sunday, negotiations have multiplied. The majority pact was signed this Monday evening. The two new partners will submit it to the municipality this Tuesday. A reversal confirmed by the MR federation of Mons-Borinage.
On the evening of the elections, no mayor had in fact been appointed in Frameries. The PS, which made progress, did not manage to regain its absolute majority. With 13 seats, as in 2018, he needed a partner to retain the mayorate. But in the end, MR & Vous, his former partner, finally chose change. They did not re-sign with the PS, they chose Be Frameries. It must be said that the MR had the cards in hand. They have indeed made very good progress, going from 2 to 6 seats! The mayorship goes to Manu Disabato, the head of the Be Frameries list.
A great first
As a reminder, at least 14 seats are needed to form a majority in Frameries. However, the PS has 13, Be Frameries 8 and MR & Vous has 6. Do the calculations: all the formulas were possible. The three groups had increased their meetings.
From Monday morning, Georges-Louis Bouchez pushed his Frameris troops to sign with Manu Disabato’s list. Objective: to throw the PS into opposition, while the party had managed Frameries for decades.
