In front of the Périgueux prison (Dordogne), there are around thirty of them this Wednesday morning, just before 6 a.m.. Supervisors at the end of night shift, officers arriving for their day shift, but also prison nurses and cooks. Everyone spent part of the day together to pay tribute to their two colleagues killed by an armed commando in Eure during an escape from a toll booth.
There were around sixty of them in front of Neuvic prison, according to Thomas Niemczura, representing Force Ouvrière. “This will really be the bare minimum in prison.” promises the chosen one. Escorts to courts and hospital are also suspended. This Wednesday morning, two delivery trucks were unable to access at the establishment.
“We are lagging behind”
“It had to happen, it happened! There have already been alerts and unfortunately it resulted in two deaths” says Didier Begneux indignantly, regional delegate of the Ufap union. “a local prison security team has been set up for escorts. At a minimum, we put three agents whereas at the time when it was the police who carried out these missions, it was twelve agents! We are lagging behind, it could also happen in Périgueux, especially when we see the level of weaponry and the colleagues who are simply equipped with a 9 mm pistol.“
A minute of silence at 11 a.m.

A minute of silence was observed in front of the prisons of Neuvic, Mauzac and Périgueux. At the judicial court of Périgueux and Bergerac, a minute of silence was also observed 24 hours after the attack.
