The Century 21 real estate group plans to expand into Wallonia and Flanders, with the aim of exploiting some 70 blind spots with high real estate potential. Which regions are affected?

The real estate market continues to slow down in Belgium, with real estate becoming less and less affordable, we recently wrote in a market analysis. Not enough to dampen the sector: Century 21 is indeed relaunching its expansion in Wallonia and Flanders. Currently with 125 agencies in Belgium, the real estate group has just launched a vast affiliation campaign to recruit new talents and open additional branches. The objective? Cover areas still unexploited by the group, particularly in the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg.

From Antwerp to Luxembourg

The majority of agencies in this network are today located in Wallonia (43%) and Flanders (32%). Century 21 nevertheless aims to expand further in these two territories. In total, several dozen municipalities were selected. “These locations are located in Flanders, with a particular focus on the provinces of Antwerp and Limburg, and in Wallonia, including the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg,” explain Patrick Vandebriel and Gerald Sciamanna, Regional Managers at Century 21 Benelux.

But how were these regions chosen? “We mainly examined the number of transactions (in general) and the number of brokers/agencies in these blind spots,” they specify. Municipalities like Gembloux, Bastogne, Fleurus… and even Liège are now in the sights of Century 21.

“Our ambitions underline our group’s confidence in the Belgian real estate market, and more particularly in the growing demand for professional real estate advice in regions where we are not yet represented,” conclude the Regional Managers.

It is also envisaged to strengthen the international role of Century 21 in the luxury real estate sector in Belgium.
