The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is organizing, from October 8 to 11 in Lagos, Nigeria, a regional workshop for the review and validation of the Host States Agreement (HGA – Host Government Agreement).

This workshop, which is part of the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline project initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari and supported by the current President, Bola Tinubu, follows various negotiation rounds of the provisions of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) and the Host Government Agreement (HGA), organized in Rabat, Marrakech and Abidjan.

Organized in partnership with the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) in charge of the development of the Project, the workshop saw the participation of all the States crossed, the ministerial departments and national oil companies, at the level of experts from the thirteen countries crossed.

This workshop aims to finalize the draft Host Government Agreement (HGA) which will be signed between each country and the Project Company.
