Fourteen firefighters, the Smur (mobile emergency and resuscitation service) of Hautes-Alpes, the roads service of Alpes-de -Haute-Provence and the gendarmes were mobilized for this operation.

The van was carrying two vats of chemicals used to insulate buildings.
The two occupants of the vehicle were treated by emergency services. The passenger, a 32-year-old man, was able to escape from the passenger compartment before the firefighters arrived. The driver, a 36-year-old man, had to be extricated. It is considered to be in “absolute emergency”.
The two victims were transported to the Gap hospital center.
