Activist Gilles Reynaud died this Tuesday, October 8, according to our information confirming numerous tributes paid to him on social networks. The former nuclear site manager was aged 58. He died suddenly after a trip to the General Assembly of the National Association of Local Information Commissions for Nuclear Sites (ANCCLI).

Gilles Reynaud, who worked for a long time on the Tricastin site, was best known for his commitment to defense of employees of nuclear subcontracting companies. He notably ran a blog entitled “Ma Zone Contrôlée”.

Candidate for the 2022 legislative elections

He was also politically involved within La Insoumise. First substitute for candidate Rachel Mahé in the 2017 legislative elections in the 2nd constituency of Drôme (that of Montélimar). It is then invested by Nupes in the 2022 legislative elections. This time he is in the second round. He was beaten with 42.88% of the votes by the outgoing National Rally MP, Lisette Pollet.

He evokes a “fighter, tireless defending workers”. This Tuesday again according to him, Gilles Reynaud spoke during the ANCCLI general assembly.
