Tahiti on October 9, 2024. A historian by training, Sandrine Mirza writes documentary books on history or cultural heritage for young people. She enjoys telling the “human” adventure of her heroes who often fascinate her and impress her with their courage.

Sandrine Mirza is an author, specializing in history and cultural heritage. She holds a DESS in History ( VII) and a diploma from the French Press Institute (Paris II). “All my books are documentaries in history or cultural heritage. So on almost every page I encounter often famous characters who can be called ‘heroes’ or ‘heroines’. They are the driving force behind my texts, at the origin of events or adventures. » Every hero or heroine has a destiny, “it’s this human adventure that pleases me, and sometimes fascinates me. Often I am also impressed by their courage.”

The author recounts historical characters: kings, queens, inventors, artists, adventurers, etc. She painted portraits of 40 men and women of peace. It also features mythical characters: ancient gods and goddesses, heroes like Hercules or Theseus. She also invents heroes or heroines to animate docu-dramas.

Her latest comic strip entitled “Feminine History of ” highlights the condition of women and their struggle to acquire the same rights as men. “I am very sensitive to these female fighters all over the world, and to the men who support them. » She thinks in particular, and particularly, of the women in Iran and Afghanistan. “They resist with infinite courage, at the risk of their lives, they fight against an oppression that is barely imaginable. »

Sandrine Mirza worked for six years at La Découverte in Paris. Today she devotes herself entirely to her writing activity. She has already published more than thirty books including Religions from prehistory to the present day which brings together biblical characters, spiritual guides and other tutelary figures. She signed Histoire de France au feminine which retraces the lives and struggles of famous or anonymous women, everyday heroines. She is also the one who wrote My First Mythology, In the Footsteps of Marco Polo and First World War and Second World War.
