A violent attack provoked by an outburst of jealousy took place in the scrubland, in the town of Milhaud (), a little over a week ago. As indicated by our colleagues from Aveyron Press Centerit all started with the discovery by a passerby of a young woman of 20, assaulted, partially shaved, half naked and without a cell phone.

The Calvisson gendarmes quickly took charge of the investigation to understand what could have happened. The young woman then says she got into the car with a “friend”. This meeting goes wrong and this friend’s partner, hidden in the vehicle, emerges to hit the victim and shave half of his head. The latter says she is jealous of the relationship between the young woman and her companion.

The condemned couple

It was this Tuesday that the couple was tried before the Nîmes criminal court for aggravated assault and damage to the telephone. Now separated, the two accused, aged around twenty, pleaded the defense, indicating that the victim had insulted them. They also insisted that none of this was premeditated.

The two defendants ultimately received a two-year prison sentence, one of which was suspended. The judgment had to be rendered in the absence of the victim, still very shocked by the facts. She had received five days of ITT following these acts of violence.
