Abdoulaye Dièye, president of the Alliance with the People (2AP/SIGGI JOTNA), announced his withdrawal from the early legislative elections, resigning from Amadou Ba’s Jamm ak Niarign coalition.
He cited deep differences within the Takku wallu-Jamm ak Niarign and Samm sa Kaddu inter-coalition, explaining his departure with regret. “After having invested body and soul for the unity of the opposition, particularly in my dear city of Thiès, I am saddened to see that such a scenario did not occur in our department,” he said. -he declared.

According to him, the Jamm ak Niarign coalition, of which he was the head of the departmental list in Thiès, finally decided to go it alone, a decision which precipitated his resignation. “A politician driven exclusively by the general interest, and who has always worked for a strong and united opposition, cannot engage in such a solitary escape,” he stressed.
Abdoulaye Dièye also highlighted his loyalty to President Macky Sall, indicating that it would be impossible for him to run against a list led by the latter.
