Munster, Orbey and Soultzeren. Since September 23, 2024, these three municipalities have received recognition of the state of natural disaster, for the damage suffered on July 31, 2024.

In the middle of summer, large floods and castings of sludge invaded the village, to the great misfortune of the inhabitants.

Simplify insurance requests

In a press release, the Haut-Rhin prefecture specifies that “the state of natural disaster noted by decree may give rise to the right to guarantee against material damage for policyholders covered by their insurance contract. »

To do this, people residing in these municipalities have an additional period of 30 days from 09/28/2024 to file a claim declaration and submit the estimated state of their damage to their insurer, if they do not. have not yet done.

“For victims who have already made their declaration before the publication of the decree, they do not have to take any particular administrative steps, but must contact their insurance correspondent again to prepare for the arrival of the experts”, concludes the prefecture.
