Malick Ndiaye urged “teachers, parents of students as well as all stakeholders, in particular local authorities and the defense and security forces, to get fully involved in this citizen day, with the objective of improving the living environment in schools”.
“Under the leadership of the President of the Republic, this initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve conditions of hygiene and cleanliness in educational establishments, within the framework of the slogan “ubi tay jang tay”, which aims to start classes from the first day of the school year,” he argued.
He also praised “the academic results of the department of Linguère, which stood out in the end-of-year exams and general competition, placing itself at the top of the CFEE and entering sixth form in the Louga region”.
On the sidelines of this event, the minister presented national flags to the defense and security forces, public schools and the 1,296 village chiefs of the department.
“This gesture aims to encourage populations to adopt civic values through the raising of colors, a civic ritual essential to respecting the symbols of the nation,” he explained.
The minister also inaugurated “a computer room at CEM Angle l’Islam, equipped with latest generation computers and modern educational equipment”, he said, “underscoring the importance of the integration of digital technology into lessons”.
“Mastery of IT tools has become essential in the field of education, offering many advantages for both teachers and students,” he added.
Malick Ndiaye finally visited the class where he did his introductory course (CI) at the Maguette Ndiaye School, paying tribute to his first teacher, Abdoulaye Guissé, who recently retired.
